Save Oct 16-18 for DLA Annual Meet - Washington D.C.
The Dartmouth Lawyers Association is excited to announce that this year's 24th Annual Meeting will be held in Washington, D.C. on October 16-18, 2008. Book rooms direct with the Mayflower by July 15 for the DLA discount.
The DLA is proud to have as its Keynote Speaker, The Honorable Laurence H. Silberman '57, United States Senior Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeals, District of Columbia Circuit. In addition, the DLA is privileged to have a distinguished group of alumni, including Russ Granik '69, former Deputy Commissioner of the NBA, Ken Gordon '91, ESPN counsel, and Jacque Steinberg '88, New York Times columnist, as speakers on two very exciting panels we have planned for the meeting.
The DLA has reserved a block of rooms at the Marriott Mayflower Renaissance Hotel at a discounted rate. (Book by July 15th). Please make your own reservations, identifying yourself as a member of the Dartmouth Lawyers Association.
A Welcoming Cocktail Reception will be held on Thursday, October 16th from 5-8 PM in the Colonial Room at the Mayflower honoring Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand '88, Dartmouth's first Alumnae Congressional Representative and other Alumni who have served in Congress.
Registration forms will be available on the DLA website around July 1 and will be circulated by email to present DLA members.

Combined DLA and DAANYC Reception at ABA Meet Aug 8 in NYC
On Friday, August 8, 2008, during the ABA Annual Meeting in New York City, the Dartmouth Lawyer's Association, Reed Smith LLP and the Dartmouth Alumni Association of New York City (DAANYC) will sponsor a reception honoring outgoing ABA President William H. Neukom '64.
The reception will take place at the Offices of Reed Smith LLP, 599 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY, from 5:00-7:00 pm. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for beer, wine and hors d'oeuvres. Please watch your e-mail for more details. This event is free.
